Cisco apprenticeship program interview questions for freshers, Cisco Apprenticeship Program 2025, Cisco Technical Graduate Apprentice Interview
This article going to “to the point and i have include everything that might be important for you”. I'm sharing my interview journey with Cisco for their Apprentice Program.
It was a mix of patience, preparation, and persistence. Here's how it all went....
Application Timeline
I applied for the Cisco Apprentice Program - Trainee (Technical Consulting Engineer) in September 2024. After a long wait, I finally received an assessment mail in the last week of February 2025.
Assessment Round (Round 1)
The assessment was objective-based and covered multiple areas. Here's the detailed pattern:
Sections Covered:
Networking – OSI layers, device-based diagrams, basic TCP/IP concepts.
Operating Systems – basics like memory, process, and scheduling.
Tip: Most questions tested your concepts and speed. It was all about clarity and time management.
I found the test moderately difficult, and after about a week, I received the good news — I was shortlisted for interviews.
Interview Day – 3 Rounds in One Day
The interviews were scheduled for one single day, starting at 8 AM. All candidates joined a common Webex group, and we were called one by one.
Round 1: Technical Interview (30 mins)
This was a friendly technical round.
What they asked me:
Walkthrough of my past internships and projects.
Some situational based question (like how would you handle this that...)
A few basic technical questions related to my tech stack.
No deep questions, as it was for an apprentice role.
The interviewer was supportive and even told me, “You’ll definitely move to the next round.” That gave me a confidence boost!
Round 2: Managerial Round (20 mins)
Next was a one-on-one with a Cisco manager.
Topics discussed:
Why Cisco? Why this program?
What do you know about Cisco’s values and work culture?
What do you enjoy the most in college?
Basic networking questions (like number of layers in OSI, etc.).
Few questions from my past experience.
This round was more about understanding my interest and mindset.
Round 3: HR Round (15–20 mins)
After a 3-hour wait, I got the final round link with the HR.
Questions included:
Was your internship paid or unpaid?
Are you registered with NATS?
She Told me About Salary (35 Thousand / Month)
Any full-time offers?
Why not a full-time role, and why this apprenticeship?
Is your Aadhaar linked?
Common HR questions like “Why should we hire you?”
The HR was polite and told me that this was the final step and results would be shared soon.
Final Status – Waiting…
It’s been a while now, and I haven’t received any final result yet – no selection or rejection mail. But I’m still hopeful and checking my inbox regularly.
Cisco is more than just a tech company. It’s a place where learning begins with opportunity.
Wishing everyone all the best with their applications!
