Date of Interview: March 16, 2025
Role: Software Application Development (SAD) Apprenticeship
Also useful for: Project Management (PM) & Data Analytics (DA)

My Preparation Journey

When I started preparing for the Google Apprenticeship, I didn’t know where to begin. So I did everything I could:

  • Googled questions

  • Joined Telegram groups

  • Searched on LinkedIn

  • Spoke to people who were selected

I took all the advice I got and made my own prep list.
I read it every day before my call. And guess what? I got selected for the interview!

The best part?
They ask almost the same questions for PM, SAD, and DA roles — just a few extra ones based on the domain.

My Google Apprenticeship Interview Prep List

Here’s the full list of questions I prepared for. These were either asked directly or are commonly asked.

1. Tell me about yourself

Keep it short, clear, and confident. Add 1-2 things not in your resume.

2. Why this apprenticeship?

Talk about your interest in the role, Google, and what excites you about learning.

3. What do you expect to learn after completing it?

Focus on skills, mentorship, real-world experience, etc.

4. What do you know about Development? (For SAD/DA only)

Share basic knowledge: frontend/backend, tools, languages, or projects you’ve done.

5. Rate your coding skills

Be honest. It’s okay to say you’re still learning. Mention languages like Python, JavaScript, etc.

6. Which is your favorite Google product and why?

Pick one product, say why you like it, and what you would improve.
Follow-up: How will that change help others?

7. Why this domain?

Talk about your passion and curiosity for development, data, or project work.

8. Why choose apprenticeship over a full-time role?

Say you want to learn and grow with mentors before taking on a full-time role.

9. Do you have any questions for us?

Ask something smart, like team structure, mentorship, or growth opportunities.

10. Are you willing to relocate?

Give a clear yes or no. Be honest.

11. Which Google product needs improvement?

Pick one and suggest a simple, useful improvement.

12. Are you currently working or studying?

Just state your current status.

13. Any internship experience? (Rarely asked)

If yes, talk about what you learned. If not, say you’re excited to gain real-world experience.

14. How would you write a 1-week leave mail? (Rarely asked)

Keep it short and respectful. Mention reason + leave dates + assurance of responsibility.

15. Why do you want to join Google?

Talk about the company culture, learning, innovation, and your dream to work there.

16. Any work experience?

Mention part-time, freelance, projects, or anything relevant.

17. How do you handle disagreements at work or in a team?

Share a simple example and show how you handled it calmly and maturely.

18. Which Google product do you use daily and why?

Mention any — Google Calendar, Maps, Gmail, etc. Say why it's helpful.

19. Is your Aadhar linked to your phone number?

Say yes if it is. They ask this for background check.
